She Worked for Trump Org./Martin Rosenfeld, JD

On January 10, 2020, Barbara Res, a former Exec. V.P. of the Trump organization, wrote a column for the NY Daily News, entitled “Never Sorry, Never Wrong, Never Weak”. This article should be a must-read for all those who reject the idea of seeking compromise or avoiding confrontation in disputed matters. This relevant snippet says so much, about Mr. Trump and about all intransigent people:

“Inspired by his father, Trump believed he could not show even the slightest weakness. The way he defined weakness included openness, honesty, willingness to compromise.

Never admit, never concede, never give up. That is what Trump told his followers at the Capitol rally before the incident.”

Is it truly a sign of strength to refuse to negotiate, to refuse to choose mediate, to try to avoid litigation? If you ask most Americans today they will tell you this is not the case at all. We have all learned an important lesson, hopefully.

Mediate don’t litigate.
