When Courts Are Closed/Martin Rosenfeld, JD

Many states have closed their Court systems for cases that are not of an emergency-matter. While this creates difficulties for many parties, the viable option of mediation is still very much a reasonable go-to process. Mediations can be done on-line, by phone, or in person, if proper health precautions are observed. Going to court to litigate matters has never been the ultimate option when ADR processes are available. In today’s times, mediation takes on a more critical role. Unresolved disputes do no one any good. Mediate don’t litigate is now more than a catchy phrase. It is the best hope for those who wish to see closure on disputed matters. Mediation has never made more sense. Give it the due consideration it deserves.
