The Murphy (Texas) Monitor has a modest print and digital circulation. However, on May 16, 2019, Joe Reavis featured a divorced mother of three, Kari Clemmer, in a true feel-good story. Ms. Clemmer has developed a workshop for co-parenting post-divorce (or separation). Though Texas law does not mandate attendance at such courses, Courts in Greater Murphy often requite that divorced/separated couples take this 4-hour course. Ms. Clemmer sums up the effect of divorce on children in this manner: “Kids are paying the price for adult stuff.” The impetus for this course was a comment by the youngest Clemmer daughter, who once commented that while growing up she had no idea that her mother and father were not friends.

If divorcing civilly is important to you, check out the story about Kari Clemmer at http://murphymonitor.com/2019/05/16/family-law-mediator-teaches-blogs-about-co-parenting. Don’t let your kids pay for “adult stuff”.
