Asking for Help/Martin Rosenfeld

Posted on November 26, 2012

An article by Andra Bush appeared at Mediate.Com recently on asking for help when going through divorce. The article reminds us that we are never alone in our transitional periods if we learn to ask for help. Among the points that are made is that we need to accept the fact that asking for assistance is not a sign of weakness. Furthermore, says Ms. Bush, ignorance is not bliss. It is is a healthy indication of our needs as human beings to know when we need to reach out to others. These individuals may be family members, clergy, therapists, etc. The key is to know who is “out there” and to know when it is time to use the personal support group we all have. The thoughts expressed by Ms. Bush are worth “filing away” and can help in all transition periods. An article that gives us food for thought.
